St Albans City have swooped for former Watford midfielder Al Bangura.

The 28-year-old spent four seasons at the Hornets where he made 62 appearances. Bangura also enjoyed spells at Brighton, Blackpool and Gabala before moving on to Forest Green Rovers.

Bangura signed for Coventry in March but did not make any appearances for the League One club.

Manager Harry Wheeler told the club website: “Al is another good addition to the group.

"He’s experienced, very professional and gives us something different. He also has a desire to go back in to the professional game and push on so we have no doubt he will give everything to be at his best for the cause whilst he’s with us.”
