Verulamians landed a seventh consecutive win in Herts/Middlesex One after a 34-27 victory at London French on Saturday.
Fielding a rearranged pack, Vees took the initiative from the whistle and secured themselves plenty of ball and a bonus-point with four well-executed tries from Sam Crowne (2), Ben Russell and Sam Allen with a superb individual effort.
Russell obliged with two conversions to make it 24-8 at half-time.
But London French mounted a second-half comeback with two tries bringing them to within two points.
Vees back-row of Darren Westhead, Josh Lawrence and Crowne knocked down attack after attack. This eventually made the French spill the ball which saw Tim Rangihuni pounce on the mistake and cross the line.
Another London French try set up a tense finale but Verulamians held out to maintain their winning run.
