St Albans Bowls Club edged to a 76-72 four rink friendly win over Owls.
Top rink for St Albans were Mike Jefferies, Robin Farrer, Alan Turner and skip Tony Rylands.
The team entertained near neighbours Townsend in a five rink mixed friendly match and registered a resounding 102-64 victory.

In their friendly away to Potters Bar, the two rink ladies claimed a three shot victory.
Top rink were Sue Fogarty, Maureen Grimward, Eileen Englebright and skip Tricia Gascoine (16-14).
The men lost on two of the three rinks but won 47-45 overall thanks to their other rink of George Davidson, Ewer, Andy Kay, and skip John Bartlett winning 22-10.
St Albans claimed another win hosting Northaw & Cuffley in a five-rink triples friendly.
The team won on four rinks and drew on the other for a 105-69 success.
Top rink for St Albans was Oliver Wall, Alan Turner and skip Tony Morris (20-8).
In a London & Southern Counties Gold Badge second round match Rod Perks travelled to Bletchley to face Gerry Smyth but narrowly lost 21-16.
