St Albans slumped to a 103-run defeat to Bushey in Herts Division Two B on Saturday.

After losing the toss, St Albans were forced to bowl first and restricted their opponents to 177 all out.

Robert Goddard was the pick of the bowlers as he returned figures of two for 42 from ten overs.

St Albans went into the run chase confident of reaching the total but got off to a poor start after Jonny Hall was out in the first over.

Wickets continued to fall frequently and the side were in trouble on 68 for nine when rain forced players off.

The match continued after a 25 minute delay and St Albans were dismissed for a disappointing 74 to leave promotion on hold.

St Albans Seconds claimed back-to-back wins in Division Four B after a 42-run win over Ampthill Town Seconds.

The side scored 183 for eight from their innings. In response, their opponents were skittled out for 141.

St Albans Thirds’ game against Luton Town & Indians Fourths was rained off. The Saints posted 246 for four and the opposition were on 200 for eight when the weather halted the game.
