Harpenden’s worrying form in London Two North West continued after their 39-20 defeat at Enfield Ignatians on Saturday.
Ignatians had lost all their previous games this season but Harpenden slipped up to leave them ninth in the table.
The visitors conceded two early penalties but hauled themselves back into the game when Jack Haddock got three points.
However Enfield’s Cypriot international prop Chris Kasabi crashed over for a try and shortly afterwards a series of missed tackles allowed centre Robert Rigby to extend the hosts’ lead.
Harps gave themselves a glimmer of hope before the break when hooker Ollie Walliker was driven over the line for a try following a fine rolling maul.
But Enfield replied immediately through Cairo Sango’s effort.
Harps’ misery was compounded in the second half when full-back Jack Wilson intercepted a pass to touch down.
Walliker scored again along with wing Dom Baldwin but Sango sealed the win for Enfield.
