David Noble has committed his long-term future to St Albans city after signing a new contract with the club.

The 34-year-old has impressed since joining the club at the beginning of September and his new deal will tie him to the Saints for a further 18-months.

The former Bristol City man has made 15 appearances to date this season and City will be pleased to have retained the services of a highly coveted player.

“It’s natural that your best players will attract interest from clubs at higher levels, however, David was keen to stay here and commit to the club,” Ian Allinson told the club website.

“Since we have signed David, he has given the whole dressing room a real lift. There is no doubt he is one of the best players in the league.

“It was really important we kept him at the club.”
