Footballer sets St Albans City Youth appearance record

Jale Deacon set a new appearance record for St Albans City Youth
Jake Deacon has set a new record for the most appearances for St Albans City Youth.
Deacon has made 280 outings for the club, which is the most in City Youth’s 40-year history.
He was made team captain for the Under-18 South’s latest match and he chipped in with a rare goal.
Deacon started playing for City Youth at the age of six and has just five matches left to play.
A club official said: “This is a great achievement by Jake and player loyalty has been a major factor in the success of City Youth over the years.”
The previous record holder was Jake Attwood.
