Former Watford boss Beppe Sannino only had to wait two weeks for a return to football; with Serie B strugglers Catania announcing he has become their new head coach.
Sannino, who resigned as Hornets head coach on Sunday, August 31, was last night confirmed as the club's new boss.
The 57-year-old takes over a side who are 19th in Italy's second division after two defeats and one draw in their first three league matches. Catania are level, on one point, with bottom-of-the-table Virtus Entella, where Watford midfielder Cristian Battocchio is on loan.
Sannino replaces Maurizio Pellegrino as head coach and it has been reported that the passionate Italian has been given a one-year contract.
