Verulamians have received a record number of players registering for the rugby club this month.
As well as three adult teams, the club has a thriving youth section, covering age groups from Under-6 up to Under-16. The St Albans-based club are still keen to welcome new players throughout this season.
"I'm delighted that our mini and junior section is going from strength to strength," said Angela Clifford, mini and junior chairwoman.
"We're hoping to build on a very successful year last season, with the Under-10 team winning the county championship."
The club undertook extensive refurbishment of its clubhouse over the summer and has received a further RFU grant for more work this autumn.
