Anna Leeson helped the Eastern Region water polo team win the Under-14 ASA National Championships for the first time in Liverpool.
The Sandringham School pupil helped beat the North West 7-4 in a tense final.
Leeson is also hopeful of being selected in the next fortnight for the Great Britain talent squad for their training camp between January and the summer.
The 12-year-old, who lives in St Albans and plays for Watford, played alongside team-mates that were one year older than her.
In the group stage, a draw and two victories were enough to send them through to the semi-finals on their way to the title.
