Watford fan Jay Dave was unable to win £250,000 for the Hornets as part of the Sky Bet Transfer Fund competition. Nottingham Forest supporter Shaun Lander sealed the prize, however, the Reds are currently under a transfer embargo.

Ten supporters were in with the chance of winning the prize for their Football League club and the final draw took place at Wembley Stadium this afternoon.

While Forest have been awarded the prize the club are unable to use the money on transfer fees or loan fees in January. The Reds were placed under a transfer embargo for breaching the Football League’s financial fair play rules.

However, the club can use the £250,000 on wages for free transfers of loan signings.
