Watford have not put a timeframe on Sean Murray’s return from injury after the midfielder underwent knee surgery this week.

Murray missed the Hornets’ win over Charlton Athletic on Saturday and posted a picture on Instagram stating his surgery had gone well on Tuesday evening.

The Hornets confirmed today that Murray is set for a spell on the sidelines but did not want to estimate a return date as he is still being assessed.

Murray will miss Saturday's game against Blackpool, as will Almen Abdi (knee), Fernando Forestieri (hamstring) and Joel Ekstrand (lower back). The club confirmed Ekstrand is expected back in training in a few weeks.

Gianni Munari limped off in the victory against Charlton and is a doubt for the clash against the Tangerines with a hamstring problem.

Should the Italian fail to recover then it will leave Daniel Tozser as the Hornets’ only available experienced central midfielder.

Lewis McGugan is fit but Jokanovic confirmed he will not use the 26-year-old, who is not currently training with Watford’s first team.

Blackpool will arrive at Vicarage Road with the worst away record in the Championship. Lee Clark’s men haven’t clinched victory on the road all season and are bottom of the table with just 17 points from 26 games.

The Seasiders currently look destined for relegation and the Hornets are expected to clinch victory, but Jokanovic has warned his players against complacency.

“If we don’t have the right mentality and attitude we will be in trouble. We must not take a breath,” he said.

“In theory this is an easier game for us. In real life we will have a problem if we are not ready to work at the right level.

“I have tried to push my players and make sure they are ready. Blackpool are not the same side they were two months ago when every team would score four or five goals against them.

“I watched our away game against Blackpool and from four months ago they have many different players.

“So nothing is easy. There are always surprises in the Championship. We must not let them have the chance to surprise us.”

Jokanovic added: “We need to be intelligent. I am 100 per cent sure Blackpool will offer us less space to attack than Charlton did.”
