Juventus full-back Mauricio Isla, who is currently on loan at Queens Park Rangers, is the latest name to have been linked with a move to Watford.
Reports from Isla’s home country, Chile, state QPR will not be exercising their option to sign the 26-year-old and he will return to Turin at the end of the current campaign.
However, he is unlikely to remain with the Old Lady and the Hornets could offer the defender, who has been capped 57 times by Chile and played in last summer's World Cup, an instant return to the Premier League.
Isla would be well known to the Watford owner Gino Pozzo as the Chile international spent five years with Udinese, the Italian club owned by Gianpaolo Pozzo.
