It was a defensive mistake that ultimately led to Watford losing at home to Crystal Palace yesterday but three of our four candidates for the Hornets best performer come from the backline.
Ikechi Anya was named the official man of the match for a display in which he defended well against the threat posed by the Eagles out wide and also contributed to some of Watford's better moments up front, attacking at pace and showing a wilingness to try and get in behind the Palace rearguard.
Watford may have been unable to make it four consecutive Premier League clean sheets at Vicarage Road but the fact they have yet to concede from open play at home again owes much to the performances of the central defensive duo of Craig Cathcart and Sebastian Prodl, who turned in another solid 90 minutes individually and collectively.
Our final candiadte is Jose Manuel Jurado. He went to scoring for the hosts when he hit the crossbar from a free-kick early in the second half and also produced his best all-round display for the Hornets yet as he continues to adapt to the top-flight and English football.
These are our four choices and whether you agree with one of them or not, have your say by voting below.
