Watford are odds-on favourites to defeat relegated Aston Villa at Vicarage Road this weekend.

The Hornets come into the game off the back of their disappointing FA Cup semi-final defeat at Wembley. But a home game against woeful Villa gives them a great chance to claim a win.

Watford's league form has been poor in recent months but nothing compared to their opponents' awful run and the hosts are 4/6 with William Hill for the win.

It has been a disastrous campaign for Villa and they come into the match having lost their last ten games.

The Villans have not won away from home since the opening day of the season and it is hard to make a case for them at 9/2 (Paddy Power) this weekend.

The draw is on offer at 14/5 (Coral) but does not appeal considering the visitors' form.

Quique Sanchez Flores' side won 3-2 at Villa Park back in November and all seven of Watford's wins in 2016 have been by one goal.

This suggests a bet on the Hornets winning by this margin against Villa is worth backing at 5/2 with Ladbrokes.

Troy Deeney netted the winner in the first game against the bottom side and also scored in Sunday's defeat at Wembley.

The Watford skipper could feast on Villa's porous defence and is available at 23/20 to score (William Hill).
