St Albans maintained their winning start to the Herts Division Two B season after beating North Enfield by 94 runs on Saturday.

Batting first, St Albans managed to score an impressive total of 237 all out in 49 overs.

First-team debutant Ben Nicholl scored 33 and Murtaza Hussain top scored with 62. There were also contributions from Mbekezeli Mabuza with 57 and 52 from Matt Howeson.

In reply, North Enfield were limited to 143 all out in 39.4 overs.

Mabuza was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up four wickets for 21 runs. He was assisted by Daniel Rosson as he took three for 18.

St Albans will bid to extend their winning start to the season this weekend when the side take on Hemel Hempstead Seconds.

The Seconds claimed their first victory in Division Four B after beating Northampton Exiles.

Northampton were dismissed for 225 from their 50 overs and St Albans won after scoring 227 for eight.

St Albans Thirds lost their second game in a row in Division Eight A after losing by five wickets to Berkhamsted Seconds.

Harvey Scott top scored on 43 for the Saints as they were all out for 146.

But Berko eased to the target in 25.1 overs.
