Watford Under-21s were beaten 3-2 at Maidenhead United in their friendly this afternoon.

The hosts opened the scoring at York Road after 32 minutes when Sam Barratt chipped the ball over the Hornets goalkeeper.

Watford legend Lloyd Doyley, who has been training with the club was brought on for the second half.

But the visitors fell further behind when Dean Inman headed home a cross from Barratt.

Watford found the net in the final ten minutes through Alex Jakubiak's effort from the edge of the area.

United made it 3-1 when Kyran Wiltshire netted from close range in the 89th minute.

The Hornets replied again in injury time but  Essaid Belkalem's fierce strike was not enough to claim a draw.
