Watford midfielder Mario Suarez has joined Valencia on a season-long loan.
The Spaniard was left out of the Hornets' squad for their opening Premier League game at Southampton on Saturday and was not part of head coach Walter Mazzarri's plans.
The 29-year-old moved to Vicarage Road in January and made 17 appearances during the second half of the season.
But Suarez struggled to make an impact during his brief spell in England and has opted to join Valencia on loan with the option of a permanent deal next summer.
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder failed to impress Mazzarri during pre-season this summer and the imminent arrival of a creative midfielder, with Roberto Pereyra lined up to join the club, left Suarez out of favour.
