Younes Kaboul has completed his move to Watford, the club have confirmed.
Frenchman Kaboul, 30, had expressed his desire to leave Sunderland to manager David Moyes, and the Hornets had an offer believed to be in the region of £3.5 million accepted last night.
He has agreed a three-year deal at Vicarage Road, but it is unclear whether his signing has come in time for him to feature in Watford's opening home league game against Chelsea tomorrow.
He told the club's official website: "Just from outside, I can see it’s a family club, there are some good players here and I’m very confident.
"The club had a very good season last year, and we need to carry that on to be even better."
