Walter Mazzarri has welcomed the filming of a behind the scenes documentary at Watford and insists the club have nothing to hide.

American broadcaster NBC Sports will air the first of a four part series focusing on the Premier League club this weekend.

‘Behind The Badge’ will show the Watford players and staff in a different light away from the spotlight of the match day environment.

But head coach Mazzarri has no concerns about the extra attention and even joked the start of the documentary has brought his team luck on the pitch.

Mazzarri said: "I want to thank them as we are doing very well since they are here. It’s a pleasure to see the way the club is working, and this will be seen as well from people in the US and the world. Besides this, it doesn’t change much, and we continue to do our job.

"It’s more for the team, the club, for Watford, it’s very ambitious and they can see how hard we work in the club."

Head coach Mazzarri has enjoyed having the cameras around the training ground but claims he has still had the opportunity for privacy when needed with his squad.

The Italian said: "We work in a transparent way and have nothing to hide; I see no problem with cameras being around. Of course, when we speak here with you there are always cameras.

"When we train, we have nothing to hide; when I speak with the players in the dressing room they don’t come in, as that stays between us.

"Of course I had influence. I tell you the general things that I do to my players; it’s a matter of what stays in the dressing room is just between us. There is no press."
