Watford defender Miguel Britos believes the team have left their bad moment behind and are heading in the right direction after their 2-2 draw at Bournemouth.

The Hornets twice led in yesterday's Premier League clash but had to settle for a point at the Vitality Stadium.

But Walter Mazzarri's side ended their five-match losing away run and Britos is optimistic about the future.

The Hornets defender said: “It’s hard because when you don’t win you are upset and sad. It’s always better when you win to work in the week. This makes thing easy when you win.

"It’s not easy but I think we have left behind the bad moment because now we showed we are improving and we can win against every team."

Watford have not won in the league since beating Everton last month having gone seven games without a victory.

Britos accepts the team have been looking over their shoulders, with the side still eight points above the relegation zone, but expects the wins to come with key players starting to return from injury.

The 31-year-old said: “Now it’s normal you watch a little bit the table because we lost a lot of games and also because we had a lot of important injured players like nine or ten out so it’s not easy as a team to keep winning and getting points.

"But when the players come back and we have them all fit I think we are a strong team like we showed in the first eight games.

“We need Isaac Success back and now Daryl Janmaat’s returned and we need Nordin Amrabat as well. These are big players so I think when they come back we’re going to improve and going to win."
