Watford will host former Scottish Premier League champions Rangers on Wednesday in a behind-closed-doors friendly at London Colney.
The Glasgow side will visit Hertfordshire as part of a mini-tour of England during the week, also facing Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.
Marco Silva's side returned to England yesterday after a successful tour of their own in Austria, winning both of their games on the continent as the new head coach continues his pre-season preparations.
His side have played one match fewer than they had originally planned by this stage, however, as an Under-23 side was sent to Woking earlier this month with the Portuguese boss preferring to spend longer readying the first-team on the training pitch.
The Gers have already begun their season, losing to Luxembourg minnows Progres Niederkorn in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.
They finished third in the Scottish Premiership last season, 39 points off league winners Celtic and nine behind second-placed Aberdeen.
