Sean Dyche is hoping Watford striker Troy Deeney will be fit to face Leicester City tomorrow night.
Deeney is struggling with a hamstring problem but Dyche hopes the striker, who has scored twice in his last three games, will be fit when he is reassessed.
Dyche said: "Troy has a niggle but we hope it will be okay. We will find out for sure tomorrow."
Martin Taylor and Stephen McGinn remain the only definite absentees. Taylor is out with a broken toe and will have further scans to see how his recovery is progressing next week.
Leicester are expected to be unchanged despite Sol Bamba returning from the African Cup of Nations and Neil Danns coming back from suspension. Danns' replacement Paul Gallagher scored both goals during Saturday's 2-1 win over Cardiff City.
City remain mid-table in 12th but have improved recently; winning four of their last six and their only defeat came courtesy of a last-minute goal by Will Buckley when Leicester were down to ten men.
Nigel Pearson, who returned to the club as manager in November, is hoping to guide Leicester to back-to-back wins for the first time since February 2011.
Dyche is not surprised Leicester, who were joint favourites to win the league before the campaign started, have improved of late.
He said: "I would imagine with the power in their squad that they would show signs of improvement over time.
"They have strength in depth and spent millions assembling a squad of high quality players.
"It takes new teams time to gel together and improve and I am sure Nigel Pearson will get his side to do that."
Watford are looking to strengthen their squad but Dyche confirmed: "No there is nothing on the cards at the moment. We are very active but nothing is set to happen as we talk now."

so who do we start with then? Massey with big C or Garner up there instead. Whatever combination is hardly going to strike any fear into the opposition. I realise that you cant help injuries but this total lack of ambition with the loan market (to date) is hardly encouraging for the supporters. is the cold hard truth that no manager wants his players at this club

Really? Murray is a better player than Yeates after 3 games is he?
Ralphinator- I was always of the opinion that we were the sort of club that premiership managers would love to loan their talented youngsters out to. In the last few seasons and under Malky and Brendan we were, we had some cracking players on loan. Now though it doesnt appear that Dyche has the same contacts or that the club has the same draw as it did before. How else can you explain our frankly pathetic showing of loanees (Nosworth aside) that have been brought in this season.

He is, to my eyes at least, one of the laziest, most incomplete players I have ever seen. His total lack of ideas when faced with a defender is matched by his inability to get a decent cross over when he isn't. Our (lack of) quality from set pieces has been a depressing feature of this season and he is largely to blame.
This is not good, Iwelumo and Garner, despite their work rate and efforts, must be the weakest front two in the division. Understand Dyche wanting to take time with choosing loanees but come Palace we really must have another striker in on loan. It really isnt good enough atm. We are playing well but not quite sure how.
Also I am not happy that Yeates is no longer a starter. Whilst he may lack a bit of pace he is one of the first dead ball specialists that we have had at the club for a while and he can deliver a great cross. He had loads of assists this season back when he was still in the team. Give him another chance Dyche!

For example, Fernando Torres is a very gifted footballer but is a failure thus far at Chelsea and the STATS confirm this! Anyway, back to Yeates, he has created more goals than any other watford player this season. Are you saying his assists are all flukes?!
Stats are ( as I have said many times) the clutching at straws of a failing arguement. Yeates is a poor Journeyman ( probably a very nice bloke) but offers little- even his free kick goal wasn't a good connection and crawled over the line. Few times have i seen a player bottle more tackles- put himself in a position he can't be passsed to then throw a wobbly when he didin't get the ball, fails to beat a player time and time again. Lacks vision, creativity and the speed of thought and body to play at this level- bench is the safest place for him. Murrray every time or indeed anyone else- just my opinion
