St Albans City Youth hold Chorleywood Red

St Albans City Youth Under-15s Orient battled to a 2-2 draw against Chorleywood Red.
Goals from Oscar Rutherford-Hughes and Matthew Pollard earned them a point with the man-of-the-match going to midfielder Zac Moore.
The Under-15s West eventually lost 4-2 to Omonia with Jake Anthony scoring both of their goals.
The Under-14s East hit back from 3-0 down to salvage a 3-3 draw against Maccabi Lions.
Early in the second half they pulled a goal back when Harvey Trounson struck a spectacular 25-yard shot.
This seemed to galvanise the East as they then hit two more goals, both scored by Dan Miles.
The first was a penalty and the second a delightful lob over the Lions keeper to finish off a great fightback.
The man-of-the-match went to the hard working Giuseppe Basile.
St Albans Under-13s West lost 4-2 to Oxhey United in the quarter-final of the Junior Cup.
Matthew Nash and Kai Takahashi found the target while winger Kwame Youri was named the pick of their side.
The Under-12s West started the new year with a 2-2 draw against Tring Tornadoes.
Stefan Martin smartly followed up after a thunderous shot from Ed Johnson was parried by the Tring keeper.
Early in the second half the West conceded two goals but they responded well and scored an equaliser with a well-taken goal from Adam Johnson.
The Under-12s East were beaten 5-1 by Sun Postal despite a consolation from Swaley Smith.
Left-back Sam Lailey got the nod to win the man-of-the-match award.
Goals from Freddie Collins and Dan Ludwig were not enough for the Under-11s North as they lost 4-2 to Hoddesdon with keeper Thomas Cooper being named man-of-the-match.
St Albans Under-11s Orient edged to a 2-1 win over Bury Rangers. James Fontaine and Patrick Brown found the net with Isaac Hannon their star player.
The Under-11s Central fought back from 1-0 down to defeat Barnet Azzuri Typhoons 4-3.
The side quickly equalised with a goal from Luis Moreno. Tom McVeigh netted a brace before Moreno scored again but Barnet staged a late fightback.
The man-of-the-match went to Matty Bleakley who completely changed the game when he came on after 20 minutes.
St Albans Under-11s East thrashed Berkhamsted 7-0.
Leading the goalscorers was Joshua Killick with a hat-trick and then Nasir Zaman with a brace.
There were singles from Muba Kiomone and Dylan Winfield who was also named man-of-the-match.
The Under-10s North came away with a 2-0 victory over Watford Town thanks to goals from Joe Flude and a shot from Jack Carmichael.
Daniel Curran had a brilliant game on both wings.
Playing their first match in a higher division as they moved up from Division Six to Division Three, the Under-10s East Blue defeated 10 Elite Feet 4-0.
Jack Jacobs scored twice while there were efforts from Tom Merritt and Fin Tetlow.
The Under-8s Victoria played a match with Aston Clinton Blues and there were goals from Zak Davies with a 25-yard free-kick, one from captain Benji Stone and two from goal poacher Freddie Roe.
Playing away to Luton Town, the Under-14s Girls North lost 10-1 with Emily Schofield scoring their only goal of the match.
There was a joint player of the match which went to Mary Leach and Evie Wilkinson.
The Under-12 Girls beat local rivals St Albans Rangers 2-0 in the cup with both of their goals being scored by player of the match Katie Holder.
