With London Colney’s first team match cancelled due to the weather, it was left to the Reserves to fly the flag for the club and they completed a 2-1 win against AFC Dunstable.
The Blueboys opened the scoring when Jack Woods’ corner was met by Bobby Armstrong and he headed the ball across goal to Josh Galloway whose overhead kick found the net.
The lead was short-lived however as Dunstable equalised with a simple tap in after the ball had run loose following a debatable challenge on goalkeeper Mark Whittamore.
The score was level at the interval and a close second period followed. However, with 15 minutes remaining, London Colney retook the lead.
Woods beat his marker with ease on the right flank and then crossed into the area.
Galloway was lurking again and he fired home to seal victory.
Elsewhere, London Colney’s A team were in action and the Blues drew 2-2 away at Tring with goals from Johnny Armitt and Chris Griffin.
