St Albans City Youth reach final after Nascot Wood win

St Albans City Under-15s North moved into the cup final after a 4-2 victory over Nascot Wood.
The scorers for were Charlie Bennett, Stephen Heather plus one each from Morgan Trotman and Jacob Grisenthwaite.
Their form continued with a comprehensive 11-0 thrashing of Abbots Langley Youth.
Man-of-the-match Bennett scored a hat trick in the first five minutes and went on to net a further two goals later in the game.
Billy Rintoul, Charlie Lunnis, Will Mattin, Trotman, Grisenthwaite and Amir Stapleton also netted.
The Under-18s eased to a 5-0 win over Wheathampstead Wanderers.
Goals from Matt Cross and Chris Litchfield gave them a 2-0 lead before a Kieran Irons penalty. Robbie Tominey-Nevado and Carmine Chase completed the victory.
The Under-16s Boreal won 4-0 at Bedmond Youth to stay top of the league. Billy Bagge, Numan Hakin, Will O’Brien and star player Harvey Armstrong were all on target.
The Under-15s South held league leaders Edmonton to a 3-3 draw but squandered a 3-1 advantage. Luke Winks, Dennie Williams and Chris Salmons scored while right-back Finlay Wood was man-of-the-match.
St Albans Under-15s West lost 7-0 to Northwood.
The Under-15s Orient won 2-1 at Harpenden Colts after strikes from Jake Mlodecki and Oscar Rutherford-Hughes. The man-of-the-match went to Freddie Bennett.
The Under-13s North lost 5-2 at Edmonton Jaguars despite goals from Harry Smith and Adam Roberts.
In the Challenge Cup, the Under-13s South lost 4-2 to Harvesters North with Joe Newton scoring twice. Midfielder Adam Pringle was man-of-the-match.
The Under-13s West shared a 5-5 draw with Kings Langley Hawks. Mathew Nash scored a brace while Ross Andrews, Kwame Youri and Kai Takahashi netted.
City Under-13s East lost 2-1 to Comets despite an Akrim Choudhury consolation.
In a West Herts Youth league Division One fixture, the Under-12s North thrashed FC66 8-0.
Billy Owen scored six goals while Ryan Orde and James Lawrence were on target. Jarvis Wilkins was man-of-the-match.
The Under-12s East won 3-1 at Abbots Youth after efforts from Aaron Peter, Harry Peter and Ryan Ward. Midfielder Carraigh Fennessy was the pick of their side.
The Under-12s Orient lost 8-2 at Croxley Guild despite goals from Tom Brooker and Peter Rock.
St Albans Under-11s South won 5-3 at Bury Rangers after man-of-the-match Tom Dodd scored a hat-trick. Cillian Webb and Louis Baker-Madec also found the net in the victory.
The Under-11s Orient went down 4-1 to East Herts despite a consolation from the impressive Brendan Donegan.
Matt Roome scored both of the goals for the Under-11s West in their 8-2 home defeat to Ware Rangers.
The Under-11s Central lost 3-1 at Bengeo Tigers despite a consolation from Dan Baylis.
St Albans Under-10s West won 4-1 against Cuffley with a brace from Jack Cullen and Ed McJannet. Gordon Orchard was named man-of-the-match.
The Under-10s North lost on penalties to Berkhamsted Red after a 3-3 County Cup draw. Josh Doyle, Jack Carmichael and Sam McKenna netted during the contest.
Keeper Max Emmett, who after the match was found to have played with a suspected broken arm after an accident earlier in the week, made two fine saves during the shoot out.
The Under-10s South beat Sun Postal Blue 2-1 with goals from George Sippetts and star player Danny Fowler.
The Under-14 Girls overcame Harvesters 2-1 in their County Cup semi-final.
Danielle Tyler and Emily Schofield netted while stand-in keeper Louisa Ellis made a number of vital saves.
In the Herts FA Futsal Tournament, the Under-14 Girls lost 10-8 to Hitchin. Danielle Tyler (3), Julia Draper (2), Shauna Smith, Emily Schofield and Isabella Poole all scored.
The next match saw them defeat the Under-14s South 5-4 with efforts from Tyler, Draper, Smith and Schofield. The South's goals came from Lauren Standing and Charlotte Banks with two apiece.
In their second match, the South won 5-3 with Standing scoring four and Charlotte Banks also on target.
The Under-13 Girls South went down 7-0 to Kinja Rockets.
The Under-11 Girls lost 3-2 to Harpenden Colts despite goals from Sian Watson and Charlotte Gurney.
St Albans Under-9 Girls played their first game of the year against Hitchin Belles and there were goals from Kiera Ward (2) and Tatyana Barton.
