St Albans City Youth Under-18s North went down 4-3 at AC Finchley North in their first match of the year.

The Saints led the game three times but were eventually beaten late on despite goals from Shaquille Jones (2) and Jack Pugh.

The Under-18s West drew 1-1 away to Northwood even though they opened the scoring through Kieran Irons.

Bachir Loussahi and Bradley Kelly-Keener netted for the Under-18s East as they went down 11-2 away to Hendon.

Tawanda Manenji scored two goals for the Under-16’s Boreal which set them up to post a 3-2 home win over Acorn Raiders. Sian Khan-Boylan added the third goal of the game.

Playing away to Hendon, the Under-15s North came back to earn a 2-2 draw. Shilloh Wallace and Jacob Grisenthwaite found the net for the side.

The Under-15s West lost 4-2 with Joe Wretham and Harry Hawks scoring for the Saints.

Toby Zell grabbed the only goal for the Under-15s Orient as they lost 2-1 to Watford Town Youth.

In the League Cup, the Under-14s North beat Edmonton Rangers away 4-0 with James McCallum scoring a brace. There were also singles for Euan McDonald and Hugh Gaffney with Ollie Hann the man-of-the-match.

The Under-13s South earned a 2-2 draw at Finchley after goals from Ross Weaver and the impressive Jack Fletcher.

There was no stopping the Under-13s Orient as they stormed to a 10-1 victory over Omonia in the League Cup. Finbar King claimed a hat-trick while Michael Gannalah (2), Luke Beckworth, Luke Gymer, Callum Noonan, Tom Hunt and a penalty from keeper Owen Carrick were the other scorers.

The Under-13s West won 5-0 against Chorleywood Lancers. The goals came from Kai Takahashi (2), Matthew Nash, a penalty from Ollie Wakeling and one from star player Ross Andrews.

St Albans Under-12s North won 7-0 at Park Street. Ryan Orde scored a hat-trick while James Lawrence, Harvey Smith, Billy Owen and man-of-the-match Joe Curran found the net.

The Under-12s East hit back to win 2-1 at Hemel Athletic White after a brace from the excellent Swaley Smith.

The Under-11s North lost 3-2 at Broxbourne Borough despite efforts from Freddie Collins and Thomas Cooper.

In the Mid Herts Rural Minors Purple Division Cup, the Under-11s Orient came out on top with a 4-0 win over Risden Wood Cougars. Samuel Beasley struck twice while Patrick Brown and Oliver Smith also found the net.

Louis Johnston scored the consolation goal for the Under-11’s West as they lost 3-1 away to Chesham Youth Blue with Robert Brown named man-of-the-match.

St Albans Under-11s Central won 4-2 at home to Cuffley Youth Jets Clarets.

A penalty from Luis Moreno and a stunning effort from Tom McVeigh put them in front.

Moreno headed in their third before Joe Moss converted another penalty.

The Under-10s North were held 4-4 by Hemel Town. Daniel Curran, Samual Baker-Madec, Ryan Corcoran and Jack Carmichael were on target in the draw.

The Under-10s South went down 1-0 at home to Hemel Town White.

St Albans Under-10s Central won 6-2 against Waltham Cross. Man-of-the-match Thomas Coulling grabbed a hat-trick whilst Ben Wick, Adam Guilder and Daragh Gallagher all chipped in with a goal each.

Joshua Addo scored three in the Under-8s North’s match with King George Vipers.

There were also goals from Alexis Awonuga and Cadima-Mukasa Lusiola.

Finlay Evans, Joseph Varney and Jed Ejjayha scored goals in the Under-8s South’s game with Bengeo Tigers.

The Under-8s West played Hertford Town and the excellent Cody Strack-Smith hit five goals while Jonathan Harris scored two.

The Under-7s played Hertford Town A with goals from Liam Reed (3), Fin Hurley (3), Sam Johnson (3) and Jake Cottingham. The Under-7s B squad played Hertford B with Fin Sculley (3) and Antonio (2) on target.

St Albans Under-12s Girls Futsal squad played their second group game in the County Futsal tournament which saw them defeat Hitchin Belles 6-0. Hannah Coote led the scorers with four goals and Melissa Trulock and Mariona scored one apiece.

The Under-10 Girls scored three second-half goals in their match with Berkhamsted Raiders as Grace Oldman, Madeleine Caffery and Sienna Desiderio found the net.

The Under-9s Girls faced Hemel and Kiera Ward netted four times along with a brace from Tatyana Barton.
