St Albans Bowling Club will be running free coaching courses from the end of April to introduce people to the sport.
There will be a choice of a weekday morning, an evening or weekend. The courses will be run at the same time, on the same day for four consecutive weeks. Each session will last approximately two hours. All equipment will be provided but participants need a pair of flat-soled shoes.
Place are limited and have been oversubscribed in the last two years, so early booking is recommended.
If you are interested in taking part, or need to know more information, contact Carole or Trevor Ewer by email on carole@ewerfamily.co.uk or ring 01727824483 to secure your place.
Some of St Albans’ members play bowls at Harpenden Indoor Bowls Club during the winter months. Honorary secretary John Bartlett has been successful in getting to the final of the men’s fours.
Men’s captain Steve Wilson is in the final of the Championship. Wilson and his wife Joyce reached the semi-finals of the husband and wife pair’s event. The finals take place on the weekend of April 12-13.
