Harpenden Under-17s lost 22-10 to Sevenoaks in the regional final of the National Cup at Medway RFC.
After an initial breakthrough from Sevenoaks Harps upped their game and Fraser Peglar scored a converted try. Before long Sevenoaks scored from a penalty yet, despite that setback, Tim Bitirim succeeded with another kick to bring Harpenden back into contention.
Sevenoaks found themselves going into the final minutes of the match with a seven-point advantage.
Harpenden were denied a scoring opportunity after the referee brought play to a halt after mistakenly thinking a player was injured.
Sevenoaks sealed the win when they scored a late try against the run of play.
