London Colney ended Colney Heath's unbeaten record this year after easing to a 3-0 home win on Saturday.

The Magpies' last defeat came on December 28 against Blueboys and London Colney sunk them again with a dominant South Midlands Premier victory.

London Colney had the first chance when Jimmy Hill's header flew just wide before Matt Newman went close with a low shot.

The visitors nearly scored themselves when a effort by Tel Caswell was cleared of the line by Matt Stevens.

London Colney opened the scoring just after the restart when Newman's shot was blocked and Danny Fitzgerald smashed in the rebound effort.

The hosts ensured victory with two goals in the space of a couple of minutes. Tom Blackman spilled a curling free-kick from Cain Davey and Trevor Stevens pounced to tuck away the loose ball from close range.

Davey sealed the win when he picked up the ball from a long clearance by Charlie May and his shot had too much power for Blackman.

The Blueboys travel to Hertford on Thursday before visiting Stotfold on Saturday.
