St Albans City have agreed deals with four more players to remain at the club next season.

Midfielder David Keenleyside, who made 23 first-team appearances last season and scored six goals, has agreed to stay at Clarence Park with the newly-promoted Conference South side.

Joint manager James Gray told the club website: “Keeno is the type of creative midfielder that can open up defences and he will be a key member of our squad next season. We have asked him to undertake a programme to build-up his strength and stamina during the summer and we expect him to return for pre-season in peak condition.”

The Saints have also agreed deals for striker Elliott Bailey, midfielder Matt Taylor and defender James Kaloczi to remain with the club.

Joint manager Graham Golds said: “These three lads are our future, they all worked hard last season and we are really pleased that they have all contracted to stay with the Saints.”

These agreements have followed the recent new contract for top scorer John Frendo and the return of midfielder Lee Clarke to the club.

In other news, trials are to be held on the football pitches at St Albans Campus, Oaklands College between 12pm and 4pm tomorrow (Wednesday).

These will be held for players interested in joining the St Albans City Youth Development Scheme (S.A.F.A.) in partnership with Oaklands College. The trials will be followed by a presentation from 3.15pm in the Discovery Centre. Prospective students wishing to attend should e-mail Karen Gibson on karengibson12@aol.com.
