St Albans Bowls Club’s ladies were beaten 14-13 by Oakhill in the County Fours competition.
It was a very close game all the way with a low score count and one end was tied. On the penultimate end the score was 13-13. The St Albans Ladies were Pauline Gardiner, Barbara Davis, Eileen Englebright and Tricia Gascoine.
The midweek mixed match resulted in a 77-74 win over Berkhamsted. It was a very close game on all four rinks.
The top rink was Oliver Wall, Jim Cockburn, Eileen Englebright and Skip Sybil Steers (20-15).
St Albans were also beaten 139-90 by Welwyn Garden City.
