St Albans suffered a five-wicket defeat to Luton Town & Indians in Herts Division One on Saturday.

The Saints could only manage a total of 134 all out from their 45 overs. This always looked on the short side and Luton Town chased down the total for the loss of five wickets to clinch victory.

St Albans Seconds claimed a three-wicket win over Hatfield & Crusaders in Division Four.

Hatfield were limited to 180 all out from 41 overs. St Albans managed to reach the target for the loss of seven wickets in 46.5 overs.

The Thirds went down to a one-wicket defeat in their Division Seven match against Radlett Fourths.

St Albans opted to bat first and would have been a bit disappointed to end up with 153 for one considering the wickets in hand. Dominic Watkins top scored with 30 while Amit Rajani contributed 20 for the side.

It looked promising with Radlett struggling on 73 for six but they dug themselves out of a hole and edged to victory with just one wicket to spare. Rajani was in excellent form taking five for 46 for the beaten team.

St Albans Fourths ran out winners over Old Elizabethans Thirds in Division 11 West by 14 runs.

The side had to settle for a total of 126 for eight from their innings. But their bowling did the hard work as they were able to dismiss their opponents for 112 in 39.3 overs.

Harpenden lost by 74 runs to Radlett in the Premier Division.

Radlett managed to score a total of 203 from their innings and Harp fell short of this as they were bowled out for 129 in 41.2 overs. Alex Spencer top scored with 25 for the beaten side.
