Antony Gosling scored four goals as St Albans City Youth Under-18s East opened their season with an exciting 6-6 draw against Highgate & Muswell Hill Raiders.

The other players on target were Ben Macgregor and Matthew Pearce, who was also the joint man-of-the-match alongside Callum Addison.

A Ben Smalley goal was enough to save the Under-18 Warriors from going down 3-1 at home to Burns Oak Rangers.

The Under-18s Boreal were also defeated, 4-2 to Hadley Rangers, after goals from Tawanda Manejie and Harvey Armstrong.

Stand-out player Owen Ladbrook scored a hat-trick and Oscar Hughes also netted as City Under-16 Orient won 4-3 at Chorleywood Red, and there was the same scoreline in the League Cup as the Under-16's North got the better of Alexandra Park. Shilloh Wallace, Charlie Bennett, Amir Stapleton and Lorenzo Federici secured the victory.

Despite a well-taken goal from Joe Galliford, the Under-16's West were edged out 2-1 by Panathinaikos.

In the intra-club Under-15 clash, West just got the better of Orient 2-1 thanks to a Gianpaulo Manzi brace, with Adam Pukiss replying.

Nine different players got on the scoresheet as the Under-15 East eased to an 11-1 victory against North West London Jets. The scorers were Dan Miles (2), Joe Vance (2), Tayler Fennel, Jake Penny, James Nicolson, Cain Joseph, Guiseppe Basile, Ollie Pawleke and man-of-the-match Aaron Tilney.

The Under-15's South were also among the goals as they saw off Wealdstone 8-1. Ronan Marie Moutou led the way with a hat-trick, Luis Danton netted twice and Omar Bounyafe, Jared Walsh and Connor Casey netted the others.

City's Under-14 West side advanced through to the next round of the County Cup after a 6-0 win against Panshanger Tigers through Kwame Youri (3), Kai Takahsi (2) and Tom Keating.

The Under-14s South went even better in the scoring stakes as they knocked out Broadhall Youth 12-1 thanks to Ross Weaver (5), Joe Newton (2), Fin Banks (2), Ernesto Rodriguez (2) and Harrison Doyle.

A clean sweep of impressive County Cup wins in the age group was completed by the East team, as they dispatched Ware Lions 9-0. Numan Hussain led the way with four and Callum Sweeney, Gwill Parks, Kai Quait, Elliot Osborn and top performer Musa Sakkejha also netted.

Goals from Harry Peter (2), Peter Rock (2), Lewis McNamara and Kai Hobbs fired Under-13 Orient to a 6-0 victory at Hemel Hempstead Whites, while Ryan Orde (3), Chris Rowe (2), Billy Owen, Joe Curran, Thomas Geller and star performer Sam Mistry fired the Under-13s North to an 8-1 triumph against Hemel Aces.

There was a hat-trick apiece for Ollie Seeby and Louis Baker-Madec as City's Under-12 South team saw off Potters Bar United 7-2, with Cillian Webb netting the other goal.

The Under-12's Orient were knocked out of the County Cup by Hertford Woodside, but a Marcus Cunnington goal was enough to give Under-12 North a 1-0 win against Park Street Village. The winning margin was the same for the Under-12's Central as they progressed in the County Cup at the expense of Hoddesdon Whites through Angelo Calatrava.

The Under-11's Central suffered a defeat in their first-ever nine-a-side match, losing 9-2 to Sumner Youth after Ben Wick and Massimo Lovane had netted, while two Jack Cullan goals were not enough to save the Under-11s from 5-2 defeat against St Margaretsbury.

But the Under-11's North enjoyed a 5-2 friendly win against Sun Sports Blue thanks to goals from Jack Carmichael (2), Sam McKenna, Joe Knee and Joe Flude.

Finlay Eames-Illingworth, Ben Freestone and Charlie Taylor were on target as the Under-10's North beat Cuffley Vipers Blue 3-1, while a Eoin Flanagan treble and Ted Dunning's goal saw the Under-10 East account for St Margetsbury 4-0.

The club's East team beat the West side at Under-9 level, with a Joel Whitworth goal the difference, but a Joseph Varney goal couldn't save Under-9 South from a 3-1 defeat against Potters Bar.

There was better news for the Under-9 North team as Ashton Latter, Bradley Smith and Jo Addo were on target in a 3-1 win against Parringdon Youth Lions.
