London Colney eased to a convincing 3-0 win at Hadley in the South Midlands Premier Division on Saturday.

Manager Ryan Thompson started the match with his two new recent signings, James Ewington from Potters Bar and Stefan Geraldis from Harpenden Town, and both players impressed on their debuts.

In the first few minutes Ewington showed his pace down the right wing and put over a low cross into the box which was hacked clear by Jamal Baptiste whilst Spencer Clarke-Mardel set up Martin Collins but his low drive was saved by Tom Le Tissier.

For Hadley, Jeff Okirie should have opened the scoring when he burst past keeper Jack Smith, but he fired wide with the goal at his mercy.

Laste Dombaxe had two efforts on goal for Hadley, with his first seeing Smith make a fine save before the second one clipped the bar.

The Blueboys then won another corner kick. On this occasion Martin Collins drilled it into the box and Geraldis was on hand to sweep it into the back of the net for his first goal for the club.

It was almost 2-0 in the second half when Ewington was released and rounded the keeper before squaring the ball but Collins fired wide from eight yards out.

Dombaxe then went close again with another effort which was pushed round the post by Smith.

London Colney were awarded a penalty when Danny Fitzgerald was bundled over in the area and the skipper duly converted.

The visitors sealed the win with their third goal when Ewington released Russell Gallagher and he drilled the ball past Tom Le Tissier.

London Colney travel to St Margaretsbury this weekend.

The Blueboys Reserves were at home to Langford Reserves and drew 2-2 thanks to a goal from Cain Davey and an own goal.

London Colney Blues Reserves overcame Potten End 2-1 through a George Dale effort and an own goal.
