London Colney clinched their first victory of the season and kick-started their promotion push from Division Five A by defeating Watford Town Seconds by five wickets.
Led by Tim Fretter and the evergreen Andy Cole, Colney’s bowlers tore through the home side’s batting order as they were skittled for just 91 in 26 overs.
Fretter returned outstanding figures of five for 27 from his ten overs, ably supported by Cole (two for 29).
A comfortable Colney victory was expected but their batting order failed to fire.
However, an unbroken stand of 30 between Cole (12 not out) and Dave Goff (12 not out) saw them home to claim the 30 points.
