Harpenden's hopes of extending their winning start to the season were scuppered by the weather on Saturday.

The Herts Premier Division leaders have won all five games this campaign to top the table. But their home match against second-placed Radlett was called off by persistent rain.

Harpenden are due to return to action this weekend with a game against Bishop’s Stortford.

The Seconds’ fixture against Potton Town in Division Two B was also cancelled along with the Thirds’ clash against Dunstable Seconds.

Harpenden Fourths were unable to face Potters Bar Thirds due to the weather, along with the Fifths’ clash with Wheathampstead Thirds and the Sixths’ scheduled tie against Reed Fourths.

London Colney's Division Five A match against Preston Seconds was called off due to rain with the side on 31 without loss after nine overs.

Colney are scheduled to return to action tomorrow with a game against West Herts Seconds who are just two points and one place below them in the table.

The Seconds did manage to play their Division Nine B game with North Mymms Thirds but suffered an 80-run defeat.

North Mymms won the toss and opted to bat first scoring a total of 172 for nine from 53 overs.

Phil Smith was the pick of the bowlers taking five for 40 from 12 overs. Paul Hadley took two for 20 while Mark Compton came away with two for 44.

In reply, London Colney failed to get going with the bat and were dismissed for just 92 in 40 overs.

Opener John Gibbons scored 19 but Kevin Lawrence and Mark Compton were out for ducks which left London Colney in trouble.

Jack Ray also added 19 and Hadley added 20 while Maclan Gedara scored 14. But the rest of the side failed to contribute and the side were well beaten.
