London Colney kicked off their pre-season with a 1-1 draw at Aylesbury on Saturday.
The first half saw many chances for both sides and the Blueboys came closest with a low drive from Dan Power Hill which was blocked by the Aylesbury goalkeeper. A chance fell to Spencer Clarke Mardel who saw his shot flash just over the crossbar.
In the second half, London Colney’s pressure told and Jimmy Hill scored after a good run and cut back from James Ewington.
The lead didn’t last long though as Billy Odock caught out Colney’s keeper Charlie May and lobbed him to make the score 1-1.
London Colney Reserves were beaten 1-0 in their friendly against Hinton FC.
The Blueboys host St Albans tomorrow night before entertaining Wingate & Finchley on Saturday.
