St Albans City have been handed the opportunity to pull off an FA Cup shock by facing Grimsby Town in the first round proper.
The draw was made from Thackley Juniors FC this evening and the Saints were handed a tricky assignment at last season’s Conference Play-Off Final losers, Grimsby.
Graham Golds and James Gray’s men progressed to the first round proper by beating Weston-super-Mare 2-1 on Saturday.
The Mariners, currently fourth in the National League, won 4-1 at Harrogate Town.
Ties will be played on the weekend of November 7/8.
