London Colney remain top of the South Midlands Premier Division after thrashing Sun Postal 5-1 on Saturday.

The Blueboys opened the scoring after six minutes when Jack Woods headed home the opener.

It got even better just seven minutes later when Jon Clements chipped the goalkeeper for the second goal.

London Colney added a third goal when Clements tapped in his second of the game at the near post.

The fourth of the game arrived after 36 minutes when Woods was fouled outside the area and Charlie Smith fired his free-kick into the bottom corner of the net.

The Blueboys made it 5-0 almost immediately after the second half started when Smith powered a strike into the net.

The hosts finished the game with ten men after using all their substitutes and Greg Shaw hobbled off with an injury.

Sun Sports grabbed a late consolation but the hosts ran out comprehensive winners.

London Colney travel to Hadley in the league on Saturday.
