St Albans Hockey Club Ladies first team have finished fifth in their England Super 6s indoor hockey league after wins against Harleston Magpies and Bristol Firebrands in Nottingham at the weekend.
The ladies won four out of their eight games over two weekends of competing scoring 24 goals in total.
The frosty weather saw the majority of the scheduled outdoor league games cancelled but the men’s first team had an emphatic 9-0 victory against Blueharts.
Matt Davey, Matthew Hodgson, Craig Smith, Alex Spencer, David Williams, Ian Scanlon (three) and Martin Scanlon all scored for the Tangerines and the Ladies Boadiceas won 1-0 against West Herts thirds after Mary Oswin beat the keeper.
