League leaders St Albans battled to a three-wicket win over Cockfosters in Herts Division Two B on Saturday.

Batting first, Cockfosters were restricted to 174 all out from 49.3 overs.

St Albans managed to chase down the target for the loss of seven wickets in 41.1 overs.

The side are 37 points clear at the top after seven wins from nine matches.

St Albans Seconds had to settle for a draw against Hertford Thirds in Division Four B.

The Saints scored 211 for seven from their innings but Hertford managed to avoid defeat after finishing on 185 for eight.

St Albans Thirds suffered a 24-run defeat to Hertford Fourths in Division Eight A.

Batting first, Hertford scored 166 for eight which put them in the driving seat.

In reply, St Albans could only score 142 from 44.3 overs.

St Albans Fourths suffered a seven-wicket loss to Parkfield & Headstone Seconds in Regional Division A West.

The Saints were dismissed for just 89 in 32.2 overs. Parkfield had few problems chasing down the total in 31.5 overs.

Harpenden picked up two points after a losing draw in their Premier Division match against Welwyn Garden City.

The Seconds drew with Preston in Division Two A.

Preston managed to score 216 for nine and Harpenden struggled in reply as they finished on 140 for nine from their innings.

In Division Four B, Harpenden Thirds were held by Reed Seconds. Reed scored 177 for four while Harp reached 267 for seven.
