St Albans Hockey Club ladies produced a dominant performance as they thrashed West Herts 4-0 in the England Conference East league on Saturday.

The Tangerines piled pressure on the West Herts defence throughout the game and goals came from Amie Hone (2), Bethan Davies and Adele Sammons.

The Ladies seconds were also victorious, beating Cambridge University away from home with superb goals from Fiona Mulder and Lexi Hamilton.

The Boadiceas played an end-to-end match against Broxbourne which ended 4-4.

St Albans’ goals came from Helen Anton (2), Mary Oswin and Aly Lord.

The men’s first team secured a convincing 5-0 victory against Cambridge City after Matt Davey, James Harris, Adam Wilson, Dave Williams and Matt Hodgson all scored.

The sevenths beat Bishop’s Stortford 2-0 while the eighth team won 3-2 against Cheshunt and the Praetorians defeated Hampstead and Westminster 8-2.
