St Albans Hockey Club Ladies battled back to defeat Hampstead and Westminster 2-1 at Oaklands on Saturday.
The ladies seconds travelled to Wapping and drew 2-2, putting them in joint second position in the East of England Premier League (goals from Jo Martin and Fiona Mulder).
The ladies thirds won 2-0 against Welwyn Garden City after Lexi Hamilton and Liz Cleverly both scored for the Tangerines.
The men’s first team fired six past Saffron Walden in a 6-1 win for the Saints.
The men’s seconds drew 1-1 with Bromley and Beckenham seconds while the thirds beat Brom Becks fourth team 5-0.
The fifths won 3-0 against Blueharts while the sixth team drew 1-1 with Bishop's Stortford.
St Albans seventh and eighth teams lost 2-1 and 3-0 against Cheshunt and Berkhamsted respectively.
The ninth team drew 3-3 with Rickmansworth and the Praetorians won 6-2 against Bromley and Beckenham Ravens.
St Albans ladies over 35s thrashed Ipswich 6-0 in the England cup competition and will play in the quarter-finals in February.
Goals came from Liz Cleverly (3), Sarah Embrey (2) and Ann Marie Davenport.
