St Albans City chairman John Gibson has seemingly moved to reassure supporters the club's future is in safe hands.
Speculation about the future of the Saints has been rife in the last month since news broke about Verry Construction, part of William Verry Holding Ltd which owns the the club, going into administration.
But Gibson insists the Blue Square South side will survive and he revealed the club are looking for fresh investment.
Gibson told the Non-League Paper: "There are lots of things going on as it stands and we are talking to prospective shareholders and a lot of other people.
"When things first started to happen I probably shouldn't have put something on the club website. I don't think the timing was right and, therefore, I have been a little bit careful with what I've said.
"The club is in safe hands and there is no reason to doubt that. We're looking for potential sponsorship and it's onwards and upwards. Steve Castle [manager] has the players at his disposal for next season. It's business as usual."
