Ramsay beats field at Harpenden Golf Club

Dan Ramsay has retained the club championship at Harpenden Golf Club after a fantastic four-under-par round of 66 helped him to an eight-shot victory on Saturday.

After the morning round, England seniors champion Bill MacIntrye led the way following his round of 71. Chris Cade was one-stroke behind in second, while Dan Ramsay rounded up the top three on 73.

But Ramsay destroyed the field in the afternoon round retaining his title by eight shots ending the day with a one-under-par total of 139. Morning leader MacIntrye finished second on 147 and Graham Linton came third with 148.
