St Albans Rangers hit top form

St Albans Rangers Under-18 Zelos earned their biggest win of the season after thrashing Whetstone Wanderers 13-1.

Luigi Federici led the scoring with five goals and man-of-the-match Matt Farmer bagged four. Matt Oliver also netted a hat-trick with Alistair Sandiford completing the rout.

The U-18 Dons won their top of the table clash against Abbotts Youth 1-0. The team controlled possession for long periods but needed a stunning finish from Jack Woods to secure the win.

Rangers U-16s battled to a 6-5 win at Chorleywood Common Scorpions to clinch their first victory of the season. Having trailed 3-0 at half-time, the Scorpions rallied to reduce the deficit to a single goal leading to a tense finale.

Goals came from Connor McGrath (2), James Plummer, Jason Corley, Connor Roycroft and an own goal.

The U-15 Reds beat Alexandra Park South 3-0 in the League Cup with goals from star player Sid Jordan, Callum Moriarty and Brendon Katurura.

The U-14s found Muswell Hill Tigers tough opposition in their 1-1 draw. After going a goal down the young Saints equalised through Jeremy Stace and then missed chance after chance to win the game.

St Albans Rangers U-9s went down 3-1 to Cassiobury Rangers Blues. After going one behind in the first half, St Albans fought hard to get back to 1-1 with a goal from top scorer David Emiloju.

But two well taken late goals from Cassiobury saw St Albans defeated for only the second time this season.

The U-10 Blues beat top of the league Edmonton Rangers Falcons 2-1. An own goal and the winning strike by Haydn Tominey-Smith rounded off a great team performance with Daniel Banerjee getting the man-of-the-match.

Harvesters East won 3-2 against AC Finchley in a scrappy game. Man-of-the-match Tom Mileham grabbed a brace and Jamie Willing also found the net.

The U-9s South thrashed Borehamwood 2000 4-0 with all goals coming from the outstanding Harvey Young.

Harvesters U-9s North moved into the last eight of the County Cup, beating Bushey & Oxhey Panthers 5-0. Tom Platts netted a brace and there were singles from Jack McShane, George Thomas and Alex Dibden.

Harvesters U-10 Girls continued their 12-match winning run with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Knebworth Wildcats.

Annika Hanton found the net in the first half and star player Amalie Newman-Booth fired the winner into the roof of the net late in the second half.

The U-10s South made hard work of their game against Maccabi Lions which ended in a 1-1 draw after Chris Rowe’s late equaliser.

Harvesters Girls U-11s lost 6-0 away to a strong Bishops Stortford side.

The U-11s North battled their way to a 2-1 victory at AEK Black to move into the second round of the Challenge Cup. Goals from William Brothwood and Amir Berchil sealed the win.

Harvesters U-12 Girls eased into the County Cup final after a 4-0 win over St Albans City.

A brilliant hat-trick by Olivia Syson followed a clever opener by Rebecca McShane to leave the tie in no doubt by half-time.

The U-13s Girls put in a strong performance to beat St Albans City 2-0. Molly Rogan got the first goal in a half dominated by Harvesters. The result was confirmed when player of the match Megan Samuel scored a superb free-kick.

Harvesters U-13 North defeated Borehamwood Youth 4-1 in the third round of the Challenge Cup. Micky White grabbed a brace while Finley Long and Luke Simpson were also on target.

The U-13s South battled to a 4-1 win against league rivals Croxley Guild Reds. Euan Wattley scored twice while Johny Reeney and Alfie Lee were on target.

A brilliant second-half display helped Harvesters U-14s North thrash AC Finchley North 7-1 in the Spring Cup.

It was tied at the break but Harvesters ran riot after the break with four goals for the outstanding James Merritt. Sam Gisby tucked in two goals and there was one from Nathan Dimmock.

Harvesters U-15s South threw away a 2-0 lead as they were beaten 3-2 at Whetstone. Sam Nevin scored twice but Whetstone fought back to claim the win.

The U-18s returned to winning ways with a 4-0 home win over Alexandra Park Central.

Constant early pressure was rewarded with two first-half goals from Cieran Yapp and one strike from Owain Page. The victory was secured when Ben Blight and Page combined in a slick passing move that culminated in Yapp completing his hat-trick.

London Colney Colts Under-12s eased to a 5-1 win over Finchley Flyers.

Brandon Carty opened the scoring for Colts and this was followed very swiftly by a goal from Sam Lawrence. Finchley replied before a Doran Ivers penalty took Colts further ahead. Dylan Rushton continued his fantastic form scoring two in the second half to complete the win.
