St Albans Rangers extend unbeaten run

St Albans Rangers Under-18 Dons continued their unbeaten league run with a 4-2 win over Berkhamsted.

Goals came from Harry Seeby, Oskar Parrish, Andy SB and Rob Smith. Man-of-the-match went to Jack Woods for a tireless performance up front.

The U-15 Reds beat Omonia White 3-0, with two goals from man-of-the-match Jake Johnson and one from Brendon Katurura. They also welcomed Will Kilpatrick back into the team after four months out due to a dislocated knee.

St Albans Rangers U-9s lost 3-2 to Highgate and Muswell Hill in a closely contested game.

Rangers’ first goal came by way of a Highgate own goal with a second from star player David Emiloju - taking his tally for the season to 13.

Harvesters U-9s North moved into the County Cup semi-final after a 3-0 win over Hemel Athletic.

Tom Platts put them 1-0 up at half time and then doubled his tally with a wonder strike from 20 yards. Jack McShane wrapped the game up for Harvesters with a neat finish.

The U-9s South lost 2-0 to Bushey & Oxhey Panthers. Goalkeeper Billy Thomson was the pick of their players with a string of fine saves.

Harvesters East U-9s kept up their 100 per cent league record with a 3-1 win against Cassiobury Rangers.

Robbie Ferguson was the star man while Josh Forster scored and Tom Mileham grabbed a brace.

The U-10 Girls’ 13-match winning run finally came to an end in a thrilling penalty shootout defeat to Hitchin Belles in the County Cup.

Annika Hanton scored first for Harvesters but Hitchin pulled a goal back early in the second half. After extra time, the score remained 1-1 before Hitchin won the penalty shoot out 3-1.

Harvesters U-10 South progressed to the quarter-final of the Challenge Cup after a narrow 2-1 win over Finchley Revolution. Man-of-the-match Harry Ruane scored both goals.

The U-11 East lost a close-fought match 4-3 away to Sandridge Rovers.

Ross Weaver was on target twice with Tom Kellard scoring the other.

Harvesters U-11 North stayed top of the WFL Red Division with a 1-0 away win at AEK Black thanks to a first-half strike from Freddie Wilkinson and a superb all-round team performance.

The U-11 South let a two-goal advantage slip but deservedly beat AEK 3-2. Their goalscorers were Ben Lloyd, Daniel Wright and one from man-of-the-match Scott Gentle.

Harvesters U-11 Girls won 5-1 against King George, with goals coming from Tilly Moss, Nikita Bedi, Zoe Clarke and a brace from Kelsey Gibson.

Player-of-the-match was shared between Sofia Johanson and Zoe Clarke.

A penalty from Luke Appleby could not save Harvesters U-12 South from a 4-1 defeat to Alexandra Park South.

Harvesters U-13 South gained three points against eight-man St Albans Rangers Blue, with goals from Euan Wattley (four) Lorenzo Federici (two) Jonathan Reeney (two) and Alfie Lee.

Another strong performance by Harvesters U-13 Girls saw them beat Bishop Stortford 3-0 to reach the final of the County Cup.

Goals came from Karis Yapp, Robyn Reardon and Shania Bedi. Player-of-the-match was Esme Stevens.

The U-16 Girls are in the final of the County Cup for the fifth consecutive year after a great all-round team performance during their 3-1 win over Watford Ladies.

Frankie Murray had a great game in defence while Megan Cockhill was superb in midfield alongside Sab Monastero and Steph Simpson. Ellie Bergin (two) and Nicola Dark scored the all-important goals.

Harvesters U-16 North twice came from behind to beat Watford Youth 5-3.

Goals from Jack Nevin (two), Chris Griffin and Jordan Bayer-Goldman sealed the win.

The U-18 South came from behind on Sunday to secure a 1-1 draw at home to AC Finchley South. Striker Cieran Yapp equalised in the second half after AC Finchley went ahead against the run of play. Man-of-the-match went to Luca Smaldone.
