St Albans Rangers suffer cup defeat

The first half was closely contested but Rangers conceded from a free kick just before half-time. Rangers’ equaliser was scored by star player Jonny Kilpatrick but the team conceded twice in the last ten minutes.

The U-15 Reds played their second derby in a row when they met Harvesters North in the League Cup quarter final. With Harvesters being in a higher division, it took the Reds some time to adjust to the standard of play. They found themselves 2-0 down at half-time and were unable to turn the game around.

Rangers U-12s battled to a 3-2 victory over Finchley Flyers. The side took their chances making it 3-0 at half-time through Callum Dobbie and Yassin Abdelkafi (2). Rangers were under pressure in the second half but held on for the win.

The U-10 Blues continued their fine form with a 3-0 win against Cassiobury Rangers Lions. Goals came from man-of-the-match Daniel George, Joshua Alpert and Haydn Tominey-Smith.

The U-9s drew 2-2 with Oakhill Tigers. A fine first-half performance by Rangers keeper Ronnie Rowland ensured it remained goalless. Second-half goals from David Emiloju and Jack Geldard saw Rangers take the lead before the Tigers fought back.

Rangers U-14s lost to title rivals Olympiacos 2-1. Charlie Frost had put Rangers ahead but they were sunk by two goals in the last five minutes.

Harvesters North crashed out of the League Cup going down 2-1 against Aldenham despite a goal for star player Joe Vance.

The U-9s West got back to winning ways to beat Northwood 2-0 away after a brace from Hamish Michie.

Harvesters East U-9s battled to a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Borehamwood 2000 with both goals coming from Tom Mileham.

The U-9s South put in another great display beating Edmonton Rangers 8-1. Three goals from star player Tom Cox, four from Jack Percy and an own goal completed the rout.

Harvesters U-10 South were unlucky to lose 4-2 to AC Finchley North. Goals from Chris Rowe and a sublime finish by Ade Oyefusi put them 2-1 up but a late rally from Finchley cost them the points.

The U-11s North beat Hemel Stags Aces 6-3 to move into the semi-finals of the County Cup.

Having led 2-1 after half-time they dominated the second half to run out comfortable winners, thanks to goals from Louie Roberts (pen), Finbar King and four from Christian Boland.

The U-11s South deservedly went ahead with a wonder strike from Ben Lloyd only to be pegged back to a 1-1 draw against Belmont in the Spring Cup.

A great comeback from Harvesters Girls U-11s saw them draw 2-2 against Croxley Guild with a brace from Millie Guest. Harvesters U-12s put in a great performance to win the County Cup for their first time.

The winning goal was scored by Lisa Milliken early in the second half as they overcame Bury Rangers 1-0.

Alex Stevens and Adam Smith scored for Harvesters U-12s South but the team lost out 5-2 to Abbots Langley. Harvesters U-13s South secured a 3-2 win against Sandridge Rovers after goals from Euan Wattley, Sean Clifton and the excellent Alfie Lee.

The U-13s North beat Omonia Green 2-1 in the quarter final of the Challenge Cup after a brace from man-of-the-match Alex Garvey.

Harvesters U-14 North booked their place in the Challenge Cup semi-finals with an exciting 3-2 win over Chorleywood Dynamites.

Harvesters took an early lead when Sam Gisby hit home, but a controversial second half penalty saw Chorleywood draw level, taking the game into extra time.

Harvesters struck twice with goals from Tyler Guerra and Myles Shahidi and they held out for the victory.

Charlie Scott scored for Harvesters U-14s South in the final minutes of a 4-1 defeat to Alexandra Park South.

Harvesters U-15 South drew 1-1 with Hadley Rangers with a cracking effort from Sam Nevin.

The U-16s North fought back from a goal down to beat Hendon United 4-1 despite playing with ten men.

Goals came from Morgan Williams (2), Jack Nevin and star player Chris Griffin.

Harvesters U-18s South sealed an excellent 3-1 victory at Finchley Revolution through first-half goals from Owain Page (2) and Hal Maher.
