London Colney reached the final of the Herts Charity Shield after a 3-1 win over Berkhamsted

The Blueboys will take on Hertford Town in the final at the County Ground after their victory over Berko last week.

It was an entertaining start to the cup tie and Colney opened the scoring after 25 minutes when Stefan Geraldis sent in a cross which was headed home powerfully by Greg Shaw.

Berkhamsted snatched an equaliser at the start of the second half. A corner kick from Josh Chamberlain curled into the box where it struck the stomach of Steve Hawes which then saw the ball trickle over the line to make it 1-1.

London Colney quickly tried to hit back and first Geraldis fired in a low effort that went just wide whilst James Ewington hit over a ball to the far side of the box but the ball was whipped off the toes of Spencer Clarke-Mardel.

The Blueboys kept the pressure on and were rewarded with their second goal midway through the half. Geraldis sent in a superb cross to the far post where Russell Gallagher was left unmarked to head home.
London Colney clinched victory when they added the third goal. A cross from Geraldis was headed against the bar by Shaw but Ewington pounced to tuck home his fourth goal in two games.

The Blueboys were due to face Leverstock Green on Saturday but the game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
